Darby Briar is American author who loves writing stories about men with broken souls and women who don't know their own strength. She's a lover of fiction and epic stories but prefers stories with hard-won romance, and ones that include an ending worthy of their struggle. She grew up in Utah and still lives in the northern part of the state. She's married and she and her
husband have three adorable kids, who Darby refers to as her minions.

She credits her grandma as a big influence in her love of romance dramas. She grew up sitting next to her as she watched soap operas, and Darby distinctly remembers the "scandelicous" books sitting out in the open on her coffee table. 

Darby took a few years off of writing to raise her kids and is finishing up her degree in Creative Writing. Now she is back to writing full-time and has plans to steadily release all of the books she's waited years to write. 

Burning Ember was her debut novel and reached Amazon's top 100 in the Romantic Suspense category. Burning Ember also won URWA's Book of the Year and has received glowing reviews from readers and fans. The Christmas story novella A Perfect Christmas with Chaos was released in 2016.

Lost Lyrebird, which has won URWA's Golden Pen Award, is the next novel in the Harbingers of Chaos series and is set for release in 2025. The author plans to release two other romance novels outside of the MC romance in 2025.
